Some links on this site are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. That doesn't change what we recommend. This page explains the arrangement, as the FTC's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255) require.

Who we have relationships with

We are an approved publisher, through the Awin affiliate network, for VEVOR, Eco-Worthy, Nature's Generator, BLUETTI, LiTime. Every affiliate link on the site goes through a path beginning /go/, which redirects to the merchant through Awin. Those links are marked rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page code, and a short notice sits above the first affiliate link on every page that has one.

LiTime's programme covers only its Canadian store, ca.litime.com, so our LiTime links go there and show prices in Canadian dollars.

Programmes we looked at and did not add

We are also approved for other Awin merchants. We add one only where a reader of this site would want it. Zendure, for example, sells balcony and home storage systems that do not suit a pump on a pasture well, so we do not link to it.

What the money does not touch

• No figure on this site is affected by an affiliate relationship. Sun hours come from NREL's National Solar Radiation Database, water needs from NDSU Extension, friction from the Hazen-Williams formula. The calculator suggests pumps only when the merchant's own ratings clear your flow and head with margin.
• No merchant has paid for placement, reviewed our copy, or seen it before publication.
• We have not tested the products we link to, and we do not say we have. Specifications are the merchant's own.
• Prices are shown only where we read them on the merchant's own store, with the date. Where a price was moving while we checked, we print none.

What the redirect knows about you

Nothing personal. The /go/ redirects are static: they are answered by our host's edge network without running any code of ours and without our logging the click. Awin and the merchant set their own cookies once you arrive; their privacy policies apply from there. See our privacy policy.
